- Hello. How a code review is going? Are you already familiar with the code?
- Fine, but I haven’t finished it yet. I still need a couple of days.
- You better be quick. We have to start the streaming project. I’ve just came from the meeting with the customer and they need it in two months.
- OK, when should I start?
- I guess we’ll have a kick-off meeting before Wednesday. Until then try to finish the review.
A simple chat with our developer. Nothing special you’d say. Nothing more than showing that I actually care. That I’m interested how he manages to fulfill his new role. That I always have a time to talk, even when I’m in hurry (I was then). That I want to share information with the team, especially when they concern people’s everyday work. That the team is important for me.
I bet most of the messages haven’t reached the target. That’s perfectly OK. Even if only one has, it was worth to invest those few minutes.
