Yesterday I wrote about good and bad error messages. I have one more example – error message from Technorati.

Another good message. Technorati takes different approach than Pandora with coolness factor as the most important one instead of professionalism factor, but it works that way too. The message is easily readable and understandable, it looks nice and although it doesn’t say what went wrong it’s funny. It makes user smile. It makes user feel better, exactly like Pandora’s error message.
As you can see it isn’t a rocket science to design good error messages and there are several possible options which allow you to hit the target. The time spent on improving these messages is the time spent well.
