Great versus Good

by Pawel Brodzinski on July 30, 2007

What differentiates great versus good…

1. Software developer: Ability to see and understand business case lying behind the software.

2. Project manager: Strong organizational skills applied to both themselves and projects they manage.

3. Quality engineer: Desire to dig deep and being caustic.

4. Support engineer: Will to help and creativity.

5. Architect/designer: Listening skills and good balance between conservatism and novelty.

6. Manager: Ability to choose right people.

Ability to find, describe and “sell” (figuratively speaking) business cases. Making this end-to-end process done.
