Celebrating Success

by Pawel Brodzinski on September 10, 2008

You set a goal. You find a way to achieve it. You try hard to follow the plan. You change the path when obstacles occur. You finally reach whatever you’ve planned.

And again from the beginning.

Stop. You missed one thing. Celebrate the success. You’ve done it. It doesn’t have to be big prize or a great party. Meade Rubenstein advices in her post about solving problems: “At least have a cold beer once they’re resolved.” The same idea is brought by Lech when he talks about gratification: “Even the most teeny tiny success deserves celebration.

With no celebration you’ll be more and more tired with getting just another challenging task instead of a bit of rest. Let yourself be happy for a moment with what you’ve just achieved. Show yourself it was worth the effort.

You’ll feel better.
